CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

“Brody has been fantastic to work with. He is a very detailed individual and has a true passion for coaching goaltenders. Brody has a wealth of knowledge of not only the technical side of the game, but also understands the development path to create growth for any goaltender. He would be a valuable resource to any organization due to his phenomenal communication skills and ability to connect with his athletes. I would highly recommend working with Brody.”

-Nolan Kent, Former Pro Goalie & Goalie Coach

“Brody is a very smart man, especially in goaltending. He is an incredible coach, he can teach an eight year old the basics to a twenty year old advanced maneuvers. He is more than a coach. He is a friend. I would not be where I am today without him and that’s why I fully recommend Brody!”

As a long-time, still active hockey player, Brody helped me understand the Goalie position from my son's point of view. From the first meeting, Brody's calm and confident presence conveyed expertise of the position and his approach to coaching.

This models the mental aptitude Goalies need and created a nearly immediate trust connection with our son. Brody's approach, layers learning the position aspects with on-ice skill and off-ice routine.

Brody's coaching supported our son's developmental to 'jumps' from 12UB to 14UAA National Bound to 14UAAA (15 Prep) CSSHL to 16UAAA (17 Prep) CSSHL in three years. Two state championships and USA Hockey Western Regional High Performance Camp 'championship'.

My wife and I are incredibly grateful for Brody's support.

My son has just known that he was a goalie since age 2. He had many great coaches (both goalie and regular) over his early years of hockey, but it wasn't until he met Chandler and Brody that he really began to thrive as a goalie!

He started working with Chandler and Brody during 12U (2021/2022), and is now going into his second year of 16UAAA. They both have extrodinary knowledge of goalie technique as well as the patience and ability to teach it. However, I will let my son speak more to the on-ice skills of the Aces Goaltending founders, as I am just watching from the stands!

What I CAN more reliably speak to, is Brody and Chandler’s unique ability to connect with their goalies both as experienced coaches, but also as peers in goaltending. They truly seem to understand these kids, and not only teach them the on-ice stuff, but also the mental aspect. They have both been there to help guide my son (and me too!) through some of those tricky goalie-specific situations that can come up; things like navigating tough goalie partner dynamics, getting pulled in a game, and how to deal with team coaches that don’t know how to handle goalies.

In addition, my son has struggled in the past with being a smaller goalie. While many coaches seem to discount small goalies from the get-go, Brody and Chandler never have. They have taught him how to use his smallness to his advantage, and how play just as well (or better) than a larger goalie. In addition, their caring, honesty, and guidance have given him the ability AND confidence to compete and excell at very high levels, against older, larger, and more experienced players.

I sincerely believe that the goalie skills, coaching ability, and true nature of both Brody and Chandler have been a major factor in helping my son go from being a goalie that was constantly overlooked, to one that is sought after by multiple high-level teams. He is now playing for a well-respected academy team on the east coast, but always insists on getting as much time on the ice with Aces as possible whenever he is home for a break - and THAT speaks to how great they truly are!

I’ve been working with Chandler and Brody since my second year of 12U hockey. I am now going into my second year of 16u AAA, and they’ve both had a huge impact on my development as a goalie and as a person. What makes them different from a lot of coaches is that they adapt their coaching styles to how each goalie learns best instead of teaching everyone the exact same way. They focus on way more than just on-ice training too. From off-ice work to camps and overall mindset, they always make sure goalies are improving in every part of the game. Their camps are super helpful for both younger and older goalies because they create a really positive environment while still pushing everyone to get better. One thing I really appreciate is how much effort they put into every session. They always try to make the most out of the time they have with each goalie and genuinely care about helping everyone improve. I’m really grateful for everything they’ve done for me over the years and I wouldn’t be the goalie I am today without their coaching, and look forward to continuing with them over the rest of my career.
